The 435km WLTP figure from a 64.5kWh Magazine Battery 2.0 is the number that reshapes the ownership routine. Most Singapore households drive between 40 and 60km a day, which puts the Aion V Premium at a full week of normal use between charges. On the days you do plug in, 150kW DC fast charging keeps mid-week top-ups short. The Luxury lifts range to 485km and pushes charging speed to 180kW, handling a 30 to 80 per cent top-up in about 16 minutes and holding the fastest DC time in the Category A segment here.
Vehicle-to-load pushes the ownership case further. The 3.3kW V2L output lets the Aion V power external devices straight from its battery, no inverter or generator involved. On a road trip up to Malaysia, that means the car itself keeps laptops and phones charged overnight. At East Coast Park, it runs a portable fan and speaker off the boot. What Does It Actually Cost to Own?
The car qualifies for VES Band A, which brings a S$22,500 rebate off the Additional Registration Fee. On top of that, the EV Early Adoption Incentive adds a further 45 per cent ARF rebate, capped at S$7,500 and available until 31 December 2026. Combined, that is up to roughly S$30,000 off the ARF for a car registered in 2026.
Category A COE eligibility also keeps ongoing costs in check. Running on a 100kW motor, the Aion V sits in the lower COE premium band despite its 4.6-metre footprint. EV road tax in Singapore is calculated on maximum power output in kW rather than engine capacity, and LTA revised those rates downward for EVs from January 2021.
